  • You must complete board-approved eyelash extension training.
  • You must pass the two-part Maryland State Board exam: a written theory portion and a hands-on practical portion.

A temporary license is currently available through an application process and is valid for one calendar year. This lets lash technicians keep working in a Board-permitted salon without disruption. When the temporary license expires, technicians must be either fully licensed or actively enrolled in a board-approved program.
