It may feel like a lifetime ago but do you remember when you first graduated from esthetic school? How about the feeling of passing your state board exams and receiving your official license? In traditional esthetic schools, students practice their hands-on skills in mock clinics. At PRO+ Skin Academy we know all too well the transitional gap that exists between school and real-world application. We developed our esthetic program to help close the gap and better prepare our graduates. This includes demonstrating esthetic techniques, observing students as they perform these techniques, evaluating their work, and providing live feedback. PRO+ Skin Academy will partner with both you and your place of business in becoming a clinical site, allowing students a realistic learning experience that prepares them for the real world.

Work Closely With Our Team

Students entering preceptorships have been evaluated by their online classroom instructor and have successfully completed the first portion of the esthetic program. While skills have been taught and reviewed you get to focus on helping them master the hands-on skills along with any tips and ticks you wish someone had shared with you as a new esthetician. Share with them how rewarding this industry can be and how providing facials, waxing, and lashes is only the beginning! Nervous about how to start? Don’t be, we make sure you’re prepared, which is why we require all preceptors to attend our orientation and training to help you feel supported as you work with our team.

Offer More Individualized Instruction

Preceptors can teach up to two students at a time. We keep the student-to-preceptor ratio low so you can have the necessary one-on-one time to watch students thrive.

As a preceptor, you play a critical role in the training and development of students at PRO+ Skin Academy. One of your responsibilities is to work with the student to schedule their practical training hours and demonstrations.

You will need to coordinate with the student to find times that work for both of you and ensure that the required number of hours and demonstrations are completed within the designated timeframe. Communication is key, and it’s important to be responsive and flexible as you work with the student to schedule their training sessions. Additionally, you may need to be available for questions or support outside of scheduled training times to help the student succeed in their program.

Being licensed and actively working for a minimum of three years in the state the student is pursuing a license.
Being in good standing with the State Board Licensing Commission.

Willingness to demonstrate specific skills based on program objectives.
Willingness to directly supervise and evaluate student skills.
Support Student learning.
Preceptors may not be a relative of the student, an employee of the student, or in any other role that could present a conflict of interest.

How To Become a Clinical Site for PRO+ Skin Academy

We would love to have you on our team! Clinical Sites are required to meet the following minimum qualifications:

In business for 3+ years
In good standing with the State Business Bureau
Record of Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN)
Adheres to Health & Safety requirements from the local Health Department
Able to handle students without disturbing patient/client care
Student safety and learning environment is assured
The business agrees to a legal agreement established with the Department of Business Relations
